After a short 20-minute walk and a 5-minute descent, we arrived at this gem. Not far from the village of Kandersteg, at an altitude of 1578 meters lies the Oeschinsee. The water from this lake comes from glacier streams from the 3661 meter high Blüemlisalp. Nevertheless, in summer the water reaches a temperature of 20 degrees. From Kandersteg you can walk several routes to the lake. At the Oeschinsee a number of activities are possible. For example you can sail with a rowing boat, go fishing or take a ride in the summer toboggan run. Tip: there are a number of places along the lake where you can make your own fire.
