Abstract impression of the ochre landscape in Provence in France.
It was made with natural pigments from the same region.
Very nice to be able to use pigments whose origin I know and have been in the area.
And just as nice to know that the Old Masters sourced these pigments from that same region.
Looking at the beautiful landscapes in incredible shades of colour, perceiving them, this has become my abstract representation. Expressive and robust.
For the painting enthusiasts among us, I mention the names of the pigments I used because they also sound so nice in French.
