Tanker New Dawn en route to sea near the Hook of Holland.
Sailing in a strong swell on the Nieuwe Waterweg. In the background the pier of Hook of Holland. And in the mist the coast at Hoek van Holland.
The waves break on the coast at the Maasvlakte right in front of the camera.
The clouds threaten them with a storm or blow over.
After a few days of wind I decided to go to the Maasvlakte. To photograph ships sailing in the waves. Some just outside the harbor. And like this one just inside the harbor of Roetterdam. The waves were present. Although you did not really see them.
Raw and the port as it is, the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
Ship's Eyes_Port Photography raw and honest as the port itself.

My photos are often taken around the water. Ports Rivers and Channels.
I find ships and people very fascinating as well as buildings and street photography.
and I have two instagram accounts. One is Scheepskijker and the name probably already refers to ships and the people in the harbours. The other account..
