About "Oak Frame"

About the artwork

This photograph is very special to me, it was the first image I made after starting as a forest photographer that felt very authentic. Before this time I was photographing lanes and paths, like everyone else, but having been a working artist for many, many years, it does not appeal to me to create the same thing that others are creating. I like to find my own way and I quickly became bored with paths. I like the trees to be the main characters instead of just a decor. My designer/ artist background is fundamental to my way of seeing and I cherish the experience I gained, because this has made me think outside the box in photography as well. These oak trees have become my muses, I keep coming back to them, not ever growing bored with seeing them in all seasons of the year. This photograph hangs in my living room (as an Xpozer print) and it still makes me happy to look at it.

About Ellen Borggreve

Ellen Borggreve is a landscape photographer and author of Woodscapes and Praxisbuch Wälder fotografieren, among others. She was born and raised in the woods of the Veluwe where her love for trees originated. Besides forests she also likes to photograph Dutch coastal scenes.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
