Shot of model Aldebaran in the dunes of Goeree-Overflakkee.
The intention of this photograph was to make a composition study. The model is depicted in the left part of the photo according to the composition rule 1/3 2/3. The model is resting on arms and legs and performing a yoga pose in which the left leg is smelled high in the air.
This pose creates dynamics in the photo.
The shot was taken on a late afternoon on Sept. 30. This involves string light so that the model is beautifully lit.
The viewer should be impressed by the strength of the model, which is enhanced by her pose. The photo should become attractive through the use of shades of gray and the composition, with the sand ridges playing a role. I tried to build up the image with lines that run from the bottom left to the top right. The nudity of the model is actually secondary, the power of the image is derived from the pose in combination with the composition. The photograph can be used anywhere, preferably in a light environment and may be hung very large on the wall.
I deliberately chose a black and white approach, as this increases the power of the photograph. The photo was originally in color, the colors were converted to black and white in Photoshop. In the process, I filtered out the blue of the sky.
If you like nature, combined with a nude figure, this is a photo for you.
