I've been photographing since the beginning of this century. I am a real autodidact, although I have taken courses and mentorships. I don't try to make the 'standard' picture and am often busy for weeks before the result is as I had in mind.
I would have preferred to have mastered painting, like my great uncle Johan Gabriëlse, but unfortunately I don't have a talent for drawing. With my pictures I try to compensate this a bit.
