Northern Lights near Muonio in Finnish Lapland. The snow on the ground and trees lit up beautifully by the moonlight during a full moon. Because it had snowed a few days before, there was a lot of snow on the coniferous trees, which makes the winter picture complete. I took this picture near a small, typical Finnish house without electricity and running water. This night it became -20 degrees Celsius, very cold, and then you become extra happy and grateful when the northern lights appear. I chose this cool color for the photo because it really typifies the winter nights in Finland.
