Museums often have white or grey walls and ceilings. As few distractions as possible, as much focus as possible on the exhibited. Yet I always find interesting nooks and crannies or fascinating shadow lines created by the suspended spotlights . Usually I can take a picture of it to see later whether it is worth doing something with. This is how the photos that form the basis for this series have been collected over a number of years. Then, while playing with the pictures, there comes a moment when colours and shapes seem to become decisive. Delicate lines and colour gradients emerge that together form an abstract composition.
Photos are my starting point for further (digital) processing. While playing, I am surprised to discover new images. Full of wonder, I take the next step.
There is probably nothing that has not been photographed by someone at some point. With analogue cameras, digital cameras, telephones, ..
