This is a very accurate city map of Nijmegen with a modern monochrome background that has been painted with black watercolour on watercolour paper using the wet-on-wet technique. Because the watercolour is applied in a rather abstract way, you can see a surface division in this work consisting of both dark and light parts. The lighter areas are reminiscent of light clouds, which gives the impression of viewing Nijmegen from an airplane. This work of art is a fusion of analogue and digital illustrations.
