Naumburg is one of the most beautiful towns in central Germany. The 1000-year-old cathedral city in the centre of Saale-Unstrut has many historical treasures to offer. First and foremost, the famous founder figure of Uta in Naumburg Cathedral, the most important building from the High Middle Ages. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2018.
The nostalgic trams from the GDR era still run daily on the Naumburg tramway. The former ring tram, also known as the "Wild Bitch" since its foundation, is now the smallest tram operation in Germany.
