Several times I had seen people walking on the Ems from the dike in the distance. My thought was that there must be a nice picture to make. Finally I put on my boots and made my way through the mud.
After about 500 meters I ended up at a place where it was quiet. Wonderfully alone with the sound of birds and the audible wind. In the foreground great structures in the mud formed by the tide. A foreground for the photo I had in mind. Now it was waiting for the sun to set. As the sun set, several clouds drifted by and were lit up by the setting sun. These completed the picture.
Wonderful to be in places where peace reigns and where you can be alone with your thoughts.
Mission accomplished and contentedly back to shore.
