In my latest artwork, "Natural Beauty?", I explore the delicate balance between natural aesthetics and artificial enhancements. The portrait in the centre is a fusion of raw natural elements and sophisticated make-up products. This contrast raises questions about what we consider "natural" in our modern world.
The background of the work is filled with flowers and plants, symbols of pure nature. However, these are surrounded by a variety of cosmetics: brushes, eye shadows, lipsticks and perfumes. The carefully chosen colours and textures highlight the beauty of both nature and the artificial tools we use to beautify ourselves.
The eyes of the woman in the portrait immediately draw the viewer in. They are bright and deep, almost hypnotic, reflecting both the beauty of nature and the complexity of human emotions. The face is divided into several segments, with each section revealing a different layer of identity and beauty.
With this artwork, I want to invite the viewer to think about the definition of beauty. Is it something we find in nature, or is it something we create ourselves? The question in the title, "Natural Beauty?", challenges us to look beyond the surface and discover the deeper meaning of aesthetics.
