The surprise of the day for us was actually the crater Rauðibotn. We were convinced that today was not going to be as beautiful as this crater. Still, we followed the narrow river, or should I say stream. Through some twists and turns and small waterfalls, we arrived at this waterfall without a name.
The rocks, beautifully lined with moss, transformed the waterfall into a thousand and one night waterfall. A waterfall, too beautiful to be real. It was just a matter of finding a spot from where I could get the best view of the waterfall. The dark background made it immediately clear to me that I had to give both a prominent place in the picture.
The waterfall, which rises from lake Hólmsárlón, has no name as far as I can see, but it would be going too far to say that this waterfall should not have a name.
I'll call it Mosafoss then, moss waterfall
