Lovely touring with the Ford mustang convertible in Western America, to be exact this was on Utah State Route 24. A beautiful asphalt road between Hanksville and Caineville. In the photo, the blue sky contrasts nicely with the rock formation. As a civil engineer, I also take a look at the asphalt. In the blazing sun and with heavy (cargo) cars, it has a lot to endure. As you can see, the yellow centerline is quite ridged, alerting the driver if you leave your own lane. The sill on the side of the road is quite high. With a 4x4 it is not an issue to park next to the road, but with this lower mustang it took some searching for a parking spot. After finding a safe spot I shot this photo. One of my favorite pictures because it describes in 1 time a large part of the vacation.
