Sculptures of musicians on the nativity facade of the Sagrada Familia Basilica. A detail close up of the stone statues and ornaments on Gaudi's only finished facade at the time of his death in 1926. This is the side of the cathedral dedicated to the celebration of the birth of Jesus and it is decorated with elements inspired by nature and life, which is characteristic to the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi's naturalistic style.
You can spend hours in front of this facade and discover new details every time you look, as every inch of it is filled with highly symbolical carvings.
