I saw these mushrooms growing on a pile of tree trunks along the forest path where I was walking my dog. It formed such a beautiful scene.
The first thing that came to mind was: "Mushroom City!"
I marvelled at how something that is dead (the wood from the felled trees) is breeding ground for life again. And how beautiful that cycle is. I also found the contrast of death and life so captivating in this picture.
Because of the editing I applied, I think it has a unique atmosphere all the way through.
This work fits perfectly in a room where you sit to relax. You can enjoy looking at this work and staring at it while letting your mind wander.
With my imagination, I myself see in it a kind of futuristic city. Where in the bottom of the mushrooms are the entrances to the houses. And that the stems of the mushrooms are the lifts you can use to get into the respective "hat" of the mushroom.
