From the Crescent Bridge looking across the Amstel River with a view of the Regulating Tower. Probably the name "de Munt" or Munttoren tells you more. In the 17th century, coins were stored in the adjacent guardhouse and that's where it gets its (nick)name. In 1668, the 35-metre-high tower received the chimes that came from Hendrick de Keyser's Stock Exchange, which had to be removed there because of the expansion of the exchange building.
