Working with soapsuds produces surprising images every time. So does this semicircle, which displays a great pallet through its many colour shades. By rotating the photo, I find it creates more alienation. This is something I aim for more often in my photography. The gaze is then drawn in sooner and one continues to look longer to fathom the image.
The colours make me happy and also give a certain sense of calm.
I think the picture finds its way just fine in all kinds of different surroundings. If there is already a lot of colour, there is always something else to go with it. If a quiet environment is chosen in terms of colours, the semi-circle is an added dimension. So there is something for everyone.
