One of the absolute highlights of a trip to Uganda is the encounter with the mountain gorillas. There are only about 650 mountain gorillas left in the world and they only live in Congo, Rwanda and Uganda. We visited them in the Bwindi N.P. Here we saw a family of 18 gorillas of which we eventually saw 9. The gorillas are walking around, eating leaves, lazing around or beating their chests. We get closer and closer until we are finally at about 3 to 4 meters distance.
