Mount Fuji (Fuji-san, Foedji-san or Fujiyama) is the highest mountain in Japan at 3776 meters. It is a volcano on the border between Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures on the island of Honshu. At the foot of the mountain are rice fields and five lakes. Since 2013, the volcano has been included on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
