Two weathered buildings stand side by side like witnesses to past worlds - one overgrown with wild ivy, the other proud and silent with its half-timbered structure. Their walls are marked by the ravages of time, and yet they radiate dignity, as if they were preserving the stories of the people who once passed through their doors.
The fence in the foreground, half-hidden in the bushes, looks like a final border between the present and a long-gone homeland. Nature is reclaiming what was once orderly - not in haste, but with gentle patience. Everything here breathes history: the rusty gate, the overgrown paths, the mossy stone at the foot of the building.
This first image is like a soft prelude to a ballad - melancholic, quiet and full of soul. "Der alte Kotten" begins with the dignity of the past and the quiet magic of memory. It tells of a place that does not want to be forgotten.
