About ‘Morning light on the Grote Kerk in Breda’ by JPWFoto

These are the kind of special mornings. A light mist hangs over the city of Breda as the sun rises.
The soft light glides over the tower of the Grote Kerk, whilst in the foreground the old post office is already coming into sharp view.
These are the mornings when everything around you seems to slow down. For me, these are magical moments to experience how the light changes from minute to minute.
And then it’s a matter of waiting for the right moment when everything comes together.
The church tower looming out of the mist, early birds on their way for an early bite to eat. Passers-by who stroll by without a care, but who are sometimes also interested in my early endeavours. “What do you see?” A glance at my camera screen often says enough.
With this photograph, I hope to convey that early morning feeling and, as a picture on the wall, to give the room the same sense of calm and slowing down.
