The best light of the day is often found just before sunrise. The sky colors but the sun does not dominate. Especially if it has been a cold hell of a night and it is slightly freezing, then everything is still so clean and pure. I love to get out early then and preferably go for a walk somewhere just after dark. The magical hour when everything slowly gets lighter and more colorful is the best time of the day! This morning I was out in the Genneperhuis a nature reserve on the banks of the Meuse River on the border of Brabant and Limburg. The Genneperhuis was a castle and fortified fortress at the mouth of the Niers River in the Meuse near the town of Gennep near Milsbeek. Until 2009 it was hardly even a ruin, only the crown works and elevations in the landscape still give an impression of its size. The area has the status of a protected monument. And is part of the Unesco Maasheggen area.
