About "Morbid Decay of an East German Factory Building in the Oder-Spree District"

by Silva Wischeropp

About the artwork

If you are planning a holiday in eastern Germany, my photo motif will give you a first impression. This former "workroom" also tells of the East German past. It is the magical beginning of a time travel through history.

But what exactly does "URBEX" mean?
In short, "Urban Exploration" is the independent exploration of so-called Lost Places.
Here, old industrial wastelands, empty houses or unused buildings are explored at one's own risk.
