The Hirschbäder Moor is located on the Feldberg in the Black Forest, one of the highest regions in Germany. It is part of the Feldberg moor landscape and extends over a typical raised bog or intermediate moor.
Landscape and soil: The moor is characterised by moist, peaty soils, spring areas and varied vegetation. Typical moor plants such as moor grass, peat moss and various species of sphagnum characterise the landscape. The surrounding area is often characterised by open, windy areas and nutrient-poor soil.
Ecology and protection: Raised bogs are sensitive ecosystems that provide water regulation, biodiversity and climate storage functions. In many regions, the Hirschbäder Moor is protected by nature conservation measures in order to protect the sensitive moor landscape from damage caused by visitor flows, drainage or development.
Since I live at the Titisee in the Black Forest, I appreciate and know my region.
I hope to be able to express my love of home in my pictures.
Have fun browsing my landscape and studio shots
