Everyone knows it: the moon-fag blues; the weekend just behind us, and knowing that another whole week of work awaits. That's the idea behind this surreal self-portrait as a mannequin. A atmospheric photo of an office space, a photo of a slightly damaged mannequin from a thrift shop and a selfie, that's all it took for this alienating artwork. As a child, I was fascinated by the work of Salvador Dali and Jacob Moesman. Only in the digital age of the sophisticated smartphone and its extensive photo editing programmes's, was I able to do something with that fascination. This work is one of the highlights of that.
Although working as a lyrical chronicler, sometimes I see things that are not there; I photograph and edit them.
