A mola is a special, colourful textile design originating from the Kuna-indians of Panama in Central America. Organic shapes resembling geometric designs have been applied to the textile. The mola is one of the most recognisable symbols of the Kuna culture (Cunaité). The majority of female Kuna-indians, regardless of age, wear molas.
