At dusk, the Leidschenveen mound lies quietly under a red-blue sky of clouds. In the middle of a busy residential area, surrounded by traffic lanes, a scaled-down, empty mock chapel stands on the mound. A path through lush, golden and green blades of grass leads to it, giving the feeling of stepping back into the old Dutch landscape for a moment. The white beacon, which simultaneously serves as a sound barrier, marks the background.
