About the artwork

At the top of Ella Rock, a much-visited tourist attraction in Sri Lanka is a forest in the clouds. Beyond the reclining Buddha in the cave. You imagine yourself in another world. Peace away from the tourists. The mist coming through the peaks. The cloud cover as a lid on the world. The long tree trunks that seem to reach into the sky. The trunks light in colour, the leaves green. The silence. A relaxing place as if you have entered a Roman.

I did the hike to Ella Rock from Kithalella. A small village along the route via the railway. Not an abandoned track so occasionally pull over for the passing train. Where lower down is really warm dense jungle, high up the mountain is a very different experience. And all in a mountain hike of less than an hour. It is a mountainous area, perfect for day hikes on foot past waterfalls and mysterious peaks.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
