Father David deer in the water in Nature Park Lelystad.
This species is extinct in the wild.
There is a nice herd in the park/reserve in Lelystad on a piece where they have a lot of space. On this morning the sun had just risen for a good hour when I saw the herd taking their morning bath in the water. Very special animals, the females (without antlers) look like a cross between an elk and a Przewalski horse :)
Later that day they didn't show up again, so I was even more grateful that I got to see them so beautifully in the morning.
