About ‘Metal detector at the beach houses of Lion-sur-Mer (Sword beach)’ by Paul van Putten
Sword beach was the code name for the beach at Lion-sur-Mer, in Normandy, during the Second World War. This was one of the beaches where the British landed on D-day, during Operation Overlord. Now the beach is used for recreation, and there is little left to see of its history.

I love traveling and photographing. My favorite types of photography are street photography and landscape photography. I usually take colorful photos. But sometimes a photo comes out better in black and white.
My favourite countries to photograph so far are Scotland and New Zealand. They have the agreement that they have beautiful nature and also a lot of opportunities to hike.
