The Mercedes-Benz 540 K (1936-1939) was presented to a large audience for the first time at the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris in October 1936 and is the more powerful successor to the 500 K from the W 29 series. By the way, the K stands for compressor and could therefore have 180 hp instead of just 115 hp.
