At low tide, men are digging sea fishing baits in the mud of the former Dutch estuary Krammer along the Grevelingendam (known as the Plaat van Oude Tonge) near the village of Bruinisse, municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, Zeeland. The harvest is self used for sea fishing or sold to the trade. In the foreground are coarse blocks of basalt stone with in between the green sea lettuce, a species of algae. In the background are the wind turbines of the Krammer wind farm; the colourful kites of kite surfers are just visible in between. This backlight photo was taken on an early morning at the end of the summer period.
