The photographic motif shows a decaying, yet very charming, medieval house façade in the tranquil mountain village of Forza d'Agro on the island of Sicily in southern Italy.
The famous mountain village, which became world-famous as the location for the film "The Godfather", is located directly on the east coast of Sicily and is characterised by breathtaking, old and dilapidated houses, cobbled pavements, knightly castles and magnificent buildings in the style of the Middle Ages.
The abstraction into classic black and white lends the motif an elegant, mysterious and timeless pictorial character.
