De Sint-Maartenskerk, zoals de Martinikerk vroeger heette, is de oudste kerk van Groningen en verreweg de meest beroemde vanwege de bijbehorende Martinitoren De Martinitoren geldt als hét boegbeeld van de stad Groningen. De foto is op een mooie zomerse dag genomen vanaf de Sint Jansstraat. Uiterst rechts ziet u nog een klein stukje van het Oude Groninger Rijksarchief.
