I discovered this charming maritime find, an old but still functional fishing net, during my Easter and photography trip in the late morning hours of 17 April 2019 in the old fishing village of Mondello.
The maritime still life was photographed with the NIKON D800 camera (lens: NIKKOR 80.0-200.0 mm f/2.8).
The charming harbour of Mondello is a small but lively harbour on the edge of the beach of Mondello, a popular seaside resort near Palermo, Sicily. It is known for its beautiful old fishing boats, which form a picturesque backdrop for the restaurants and bars on the harbour. The old harbour is located on the edge of Mondello beach, about 11 km northwest of Palermo.
It is a small harbour with a charming atmosphere, characterised by the colourful fishing boats and the surrounding restaurants and bars.
In addition to fishing, the harbour is also used by small boats and sailing yachts. You can enjoy fresh fish and seafood in the restaurants here or simply stroll along the harbour and soak up the atmosphere.
