About ‘Maria Gern pilgrimage church in Berchtesgaden’ by Iwan Appels

This church, called the pilgrimage church Maria Gem stands showing off in the landscape. The sun is rising and the light shines on the peaks of the mountains of the Berchtesgaden region of Germany, and the lines of the well-maintained grass and winding path immediately directs your gaze to the subject.

Before the trip was booked, we knew we wanted to take this picture. The image is a combination of planning, finding composition and being present at the right moment.

The photo exudes tranquillity and shows how beautiful the world is. You can feel the early hour, but also the warmth of the sun. At 5am, we were already on our way to the location. This ensures that the 'world' is not yet awake, which also gives the image strength. Alone in the landscape.

On the wall in large format, the photo is really great and you can enjoy it for a long time.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
