Marble and gold cross sculpture by TheXclusive Art

This marble-and-gold cross sculpture depicts a cross with rounded corners, divided lengthways into two halves: on the left, white marble with fine grey veining; on the right, warm, lustrous gold that softly reflects the light. The division runs as a clean, vertical line precisely through the centre of the vertical beam. A thin beam of warm light falls from the underside across the surface, emphasising the base of the cross against the dark, blue-grey background. The smooth finish and the compact, rounded shape lend the sculpture a serene, reverent appearance. The juxtaposition of marble and gold gives the composition a balanced tension between cool and warm. Soft white, warm gold and a serene, dark background give this artwork a sober yet precious appearance that leaves room for silence and reflection.

The cross is one of the oldest and most recognisable symbols in the world, and this minimalist interpretation in two contrasting materials emphasises themes'such as faith, connectedness and the balance between light and shadow.

Hung on the wall of a living room, bedroom or hallway, this artwork adds a calm, spiritual touch, and is available in various materials and sizes.
