In this second part of "Making Friends" we see the meeting of a house cat and a dolphin. The house cat keeps itself dry in the wooden rowboat while the dolphin looks very curiously at the kitten.
In the first part obtainable with work codes 844684 (painting) and 912141 (photograph) we see a schoolgirl in the same wooden rowboat making friends with a whale.
The series is not meant to be exhibited side by side because in this series I do not align the works for this purpose so that I have more creative freedom to create the optimal version for each work.
Secretly, the work 'Farewell my friend' with work code 966559 was also created within this series but I ended up giving it a slightly different theme because a goodbye fits that image better than meeting each other.
Within this series several sources are used to achieve the final result. These sources are 3D rendering, photography and painting. With the help of digital processing, the final result is then created.
My work exists at the intersection of modern Pop Art and Expressionism, with influences from Modernism. Contrast, whether in light, color, or subject, plays a central role in my art. The color red is often prominently featured.
