This work is a black-and-white portrait of an African buffalo (Syncerus caffer) on the savannah. Its large horns and rugged structure are clearly visible against a blurred background. I photographed this impressive animal in Chobe National Park, Botswana. The bull looks aggressively into the camera and it is clear that this buffalo is not to be trifled with. This photo illustrates why the buffalo is one of the most dangerous animals in Africa.
