Magpies are intelligent birds with a fascinating lifestyle. Until the age of three, magpies live in "juvenile gangs". Here they gain the experience a magpie needs to raise young. Especially in the breeding season, when magpies have young of their own, supplemented by eggs from other birds and sometimes young birds.
