White tulip with Delft blue boat. This white tulip was photographed with the so-called Rembrandt light, meaning the light comes from one side. This is how I photograph almost all still lifes, take a look at my other photos. I mainly shoot still lifes of flowers, fruit or vegetables. I find it a lot of fun. I get ideas by looking around me, like this idea. I still think Delft blue is a beautiful craft and with the white tulip, which is also really Dutch, I think it is a special combination. I am often inspired by the old Masters such as Vermeer and Rembrandt. I also made the background of this picture myself. It is a canvas which I painted in black and dark blue. The simplicity of the picture makes it a calm image. This picture can be used in a modern interior as well as in a rural interior.
