The Maastoren is an office building in the Kop van Zuid district of the city of Rotterdam. The office building is situated on the southern bank of the Nieuwe Maas river, after which it is named. The skyscraper was built between 2006 and 2010 with OVG as the developer. Standing 165 metres tall, it was the tallest building in the Netherlands until 17 March 2021, when it was passed by the Zalmhaven under construction. The Maas Tower has 44 floors above ground and, in addition, two underground levels.[1]
The building serves as the headquarters of the Dutch branch of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, called Deloitte, and is also used by AKD.[2] About 1,600 people from both firms work in the office building.[3] The floor area of the Maastoren is about 69,000 m². Of this, about 36,500 m² is lettable.[4] The Maastoren also has a ten-storey car park, part of which belongs to Q-Park.
