The picture shows a picturesque harbour view of Marsaxlokk, Malta. The focus is on the typical, colourful Luzzus - traditional fishing boats with bright colours, often red, blue, yellow and green - that glide peacefully in the clear harbour waters or are moored at the quay. The boats have eye-catching round eyes (Eye of Horus) on their bows, which are considered a symbol of protection. Behind the jetty are rows of pastel-coloured houses and pub or restaurant fronts, giving the harbour a charming Mediterranean atmosphere. The water reflects the colourful boats and creates a lively, friendly play of colours. Overall, the scene radiates tranquillity, tradition and the lively hustle and bustle of a picturesque fishing village.
Since I live at the Titisee in the Black Forest, I appreciate and know my region.
