The sculpture 'Luci di Nara' by Igor Mitoraj, located in the Scheveningen dunes.
In 1994 the new museum Beelden aan Zee was opened. The municipality of The Hague had demanded that the building should not be visible from the boulevard and as a signpost for the invisible museum the sculpture, also called 'Light of the Moon' was placed on the dune near the entrance. Here it served as the museum's figurehead and logo.
At the end of 2011, after more than two years of absence due to the redevelopment of the area, the sculpture was returned. It now stands in a different spot, on the other side of the museum, far from the entrance.
