Fog always gives the landscape something mystical. Ugly objects and buildings are hidden from view by the fog, a white blanket gives the landscape a different colour, and sounds are also muted by the fog. Here at the Kagerplassen it was deafeningly quiet and on the other side of the water a solitary tree stood proudly and robustly upright in the middle of that mystical landscape. The minimalism of what I saw appealed to me, the simplicity of the landscape in its purest form.
