A lone surfer lies in the sea waiting for the right wave. In the distance you can see a wave rolling, but otherwise the sea is very calm. Too calm if you would ask the surfer.
I took this landscape photo on the south side of the harbor of Scheveningen, near the south pier in the sea. What I love about this image is that the surfer is very small compared to the sea. And that's how it feels when you're in the sea. Small and at the mercy of nature. You have no say in the sea. You see that here too; there are no good waves at the moment. Quietly waiting is the only thing the surfer can do.
