Vintage adaptation of a Lockheed Model 12 Electra Junior aircraft. The Lockheed Model 12 Electra Junior was a smaller version of the Lockheed Model 10 Electra. Since it was a smaller brother, 'Junior' was added to the type designation. The Electra has room for 10 passengers plus two pilots, while the Electra Junior can carry six passengers in addition to the two pilots. Incidentally, the Electra Junior has the same engines as the Electra, but being smaller, the aircraft flies faster. The Lockheed 12 Electra Junior first flew on 27 June 1936. A total of 130 of them were built until 1941. After that, Lockheed desperately needed its production capacity for combat aircraft such as the Lockheed P-38 Lightning.
