Originally they were shiny metal objects, which in the course of time got the beautiful rusty "look". Already recorded in all kinds of creative ways.
This February day I was lucky that the letters stood in a layer of snow and that the sunset was breathtakingly beautiful. The snow lay like sugar at the feet of the letters. It's not for nothing that this area is now (2021) renamed 't Zoet!
