The first Lister racing sports car was still equipped with an MG engine, the next one in 1954 then with an engine from Bristol. This was then equipped with a Bristol engine and achieved 23 victories, including Archie Scott-Brown (* 13 May 1927, † 19 May 1958 died at the race in Spa-Francorchamps), who was allowed to climb the top step of the podium 13 times with his Lister racing car. The Lister Costin was the most successful British racing car in those few years until 1959.
